For our assembly this week, we're joined by scientist, doctor and broadcaster Professor Robert Winston, who was challenged by children to answer all of the questions they had about science. With questions ranging from thunderstorms to vaccines, there's almost nothing he couldn't explain!
Our Kidbrooke Park Primary School lesson packs will now take a break over the summer, but that means it’s time to get stuck into the Oak Academy Summer Club! There’ll be brand new fun-filled and engaging activities uploaded every week that will keep you busy right through to September!
For our assembly this week, we're going intergalactic with Libby Jackson, Human Exploration Programme Manager from the UK Space Agency who is talking about life on Mars and more. We're also joined by Ant & Dec who have a very special message from the NSPCC.
For our assembly this week, we're going on a prehistoric adventure with the 'roarsome' team from the Natural History Museum in London. They are going to to be teaching us how to tell a T-Rex from a crocodile, and everything in between!
This week we're incredibly excited to share an assembly hosted by The Duchess of Cambridge, who wants to share the importance of spreading a little kindness for our mental wellbeing. This assembly encourages children to explore ways in which they can show kindness, and recognise the benefits of kindness to others.
Below is a selection of work to keep established routines in place over the Easter holidays, as well as activities that could take place at home. Teachers are also uploading work to Tapestry and Purple Mash for children to complete. We also understand that it is the Easter holidays, so also below is a folder of fun printable's if you have that facility at home. Parents and Carers are reminded that their children can access 'Mini Mash', a world of online games and resources. Usernames and passwords for this website have been sent by ParentMail, however, please email email@example.com if you are having difficulty logging in.
We would also like to highlight the website Twinkl, which will be continuing it's daily set of activities to get involved with over the Easter break. Qualified Twinkl teachers will provide a scheduled day of book readings, live lessons, positive news updates and more. Click here to access the Twinkl website, and select your child's age for relevant activities. Use the code UKTWINKLHELPS when signing up to access all resources.
